Eureka Students Ship Some Beads!

By becoming a partner, you are partnering directly with a woman in Uganda and helping improve her livelihood. All you have to do is get a group together, gather paper and send it to Uganda to be returned as beaded jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, earrings, bags, and more). The jewelry can be as personal as you’d like it to be – it can be as simple as sending old magazines, to sending in your college thesis as a symbol of your fortitude. You can cater the jewelry to your group’s specific wants or needs.

Once you receive the jewelry, your group is in charge of selling the pieces and sending the proceeds back to SSPP for your partner in Uganda. In doing so, you are providing income, contributing to the business loan, and helping fund future infrastructure projects. After your partner has repaid her loan, another woman takes her place, begins making beads, and starts her own business.
